Ben Wilshire

I started playing guitar in 2005 after seeing a few mates playing. From day one, I devoted a lot of time to playing the guitar – and still do. I’ve always been into metal and shred styles of guitar playing, and for the last few years I have been a massive Malmsteen and neoclassical metal fan. I love everything from the white Strats and Marshall stacks to the fake leather trousers!

Currently I’m studying A-levels in a few different music courses, and I hope to go on to study at the Bristol Institute of Modern Music (BIMM). I’m currently in a band called BläckJäkk, and we’re having fun playing local gigs.

Aside metal and guitars, I am also a carp fisherman, which is a good getaway from shredding.

I’m really honoured to be on-board with Rob and everyone at Chapman Guitars, and I’m looking forward to the future of shred!
