Chapman Guitars clinics are conducted every two weeks on Thursday at 8pm UK time. These clinics are broadcasted on Vokle by the Chapman Guitars clinician, Rabea. Any additional clinics will be announced on YouTube.
Haling from a multi-cultural Lebanese background with a family full of musicians, Rabea (pronounced ra-bee-ah – “Bea” for short) was saturated with music from a very early age. Rabea’s mother noted that he used to kick excitedly along to heavy rock (a pre-birth sign of things to come!)
As soon as he could walk, Rabea was smashing away on a drum kit. At primary school he formed his first band, playing drums, aged 7. He has taught himself several instruments, but his real passion lies in guitar and drums and since then, Rabea has worked with many musicians performing and composing many different styles ranging from Rock, Blues, Funk and Jazz all the way through to Electronica, Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop and Dubstep.
Rabea has been playing guitar for only 6 years but has managed to gain many years of playing, composing, studio and gigging experience in this short time. From playing drums, Rabea has adopted a strong sense of rhythm and uses this skill to execute his tight funk driven style. Influenced by many great musicians including Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, Brian May of Queen, Al Di Meola, Rabea’s eclectic taste shines through when playing his guitar.
Rabea has now embarked on a new approach to the music industry by attending the Academy Of Contemporary Music to push his musical and creative output as far as possible alongside his fellow band mates.
Keep an eye out for this Afro-haired musical mad-man as he will certainly make a name for himself in the music industry before too long!
You can catch Rabea every other Thursday on Vokle, hosting live Chapman Guitars clinics.
